Most of the long time residents of Goa would say that December 2014 was hotter than normal and they are not far off the mark.
A look at the data would show that the Day's temperatures averaged 32.77C and even touched nearly 35C around Dec 2. While minimum temperatures were above 20C with average of 21.05C and touched a low of 18C around Dec 6. Not a very cool month at all! There were also unseasonal rains on Dec 11-12, when Vagaries Goa rain gauge at Margao recorded a whopping 51 mm in 24 hrs!
